Christina Moore is simply spectacular narrating Amy Stewart's story of one of the country's first female deputies. In 1914, Constance Kopp and her sisters want only to stay on the family farm, but when their buggy is hit by a vile man in a car, her attempt to rectify the situation results in the need to physically protect her family. Moore's depiction of Kopp sounds exactly as one would expect for a woman who was willing to wait on a corner with a gun to end a campaign of terror against her family. In addition, Moore provides subtly distinctive voices for the rest of Stewart's characters. Stewart is telling a fascinating story, and Moore makes listening an immersive experience. J.L.K.
