MY TURN AT THE BULLY PULPIT Straight Talk About the Things That Drive Me Nuts

I've never seen pundit Van Susteren on television. Judging by this mercifully brief audiobook, I have a difficult time believing she has a large, loyal audience. Her voice is irritating, her diction poor, her reading style amateur. Further, while this title supposedly presents her views on whatever is on her mind, she mostly pats herself on the back. On the plus side, unlike most broadcast pundits, she has neither a left- or right-wing agenda. She bases her opinions on "common sense," she says, though she puts forth nothing particularly fresh, novel, or deep. Y.R.
