DIRTY LAUNDRY

In a fast-paced police procedural, African-American Homicide Detective Charlotte Justice is ably characterized by Karen Kelly. Kelly's calm, expressive voice adds realism and builds tension as Charlotte searches for answers in the murder of Vicki Park, a campaign strategist for mayoral candidate Mike Santos. While Charlotte navigates the numerous perils and politics of the LAPD, Woods develops the three-dimensional ethnic characters who populate the diverse cultures of the city. As the action heats up, so does her delivery. Kelly finds unique voices for the entire supporting cast; with accents and judicious pacing she adds to the stark realism of the investigation. S.C.A.
