THE VELA

What's the best way to tie together a space opera written alternately by four authors? Clearly, it's choosing the capable Robin Miles to narrate. THE VELA is the name of the missing refugee ship that veteran soldier Asala, accompanied by her commander's techno-savvy child, Niko, is assigned to locate. Naturally, the mission has more layers than appear at first glance, as Asala and Niko are soon to learn. Miles creatively utilizes dialects to differentiate the denizens of several planets that revolve around a dying sun. Well-placed sound effects effectively add to the story.
