Serge Storm, a lovable psychopath with charisma, decides to reinvent himself. Serge heads to the Florida Keys, where everybody is somebody else, planning to find a wife and settle down. He snares a sexually repressed librarian and has one of the funniest honeymoons on record. Serge avoids being killed by a sniper’s bullet, gets wasted on “torpedo juice”--one part grain alcohol, three parts Red Bull--and becomes the messianic leader of a cult of desperate losers. George Wilson’s performance is as wildly energetic as the assortment of crazies at the No Name Pub. His performance as a drug lord who obsessively watches SCARFACE combines ruthlessness with full-blown insanity. While the plotting is occasionally disjointed, Dorsey’s viciously funny slapstick makes him the obvious heir to Carl Hiaasen’s kingdom.
