THE ECHELON VENDETTA combines espionage and India for a story that is both chilling and sad. We should hope that author David Stone's story about a man killing CIA agents in horrible ways in retaliation for a past incident is pure imagination. Narrator Firdous Bamji puts all his acting skills to bear in performing this work, affecting the accents of British policemen, Italian investigators, Americans living off the grid, and sullen Indians with amazing skill. It would have been easy for the listener to get lost among such a large cast if not for Bamji's skills. His sturdy delivery is just what this novel needs to stay on track.
