Here's a new genre that's difficult to categorize. It's called "quantum fiction"--which is "where belief and science intersect." Romance is also added to the mix. The main character is a novelist who is surprised to find that one of his female characters--called Aira Flight--actually exists and that she is not from Earth. Vanna Bonta reads her own work and is a refreshing and engaging narrator. She occasionally uses vocal effects but never to excess. The final third of the novel is weighty with philosophical and religious musings, but Bonta's upbeat narration keeps it entertaining. This is a book with much to say as its characters learn more about Aira Flight. S.D.D. © AudioFile 2008, Portland, Maine [Published: JUNE 2008]
