Rebecca Johnson makes the mundane into the profound with her story of a family imploding under the weight of a tragedy. Narrator Cassandra Campbell has just the right voice for this chronicle of quiet desperation. Her understated, intimate presentation brings even more intensity and impact to the story. She glides deftly from the mother's utter desolation and panic to the teenage daughter's conflict between survivor guilt and need for normalcy to the father's frantic attempts to reimpose order where the old rules no longer apply. Campbell handles minor characters just as convincingly. The only disappointing aspect of this entire production lies with the author, who seems to lose her way and ends the story far too abruptly.
