This gripping collection of short stories on the themes of jealousy and power by Norwegian mystery writer Jo Nesbø will keep listeners on the edge of their seats. Each story is delivered by one of a wide cast of talented narrators. This approach not only distinguishes the stories but also gives each one a unique style. A highlight is Simon Vance's narration of "London," which creates two believable characters. Vance's delivery adds to the plot twist at the end. Also notable is the dystopian tale "Rat Island," narrated by Mark Deakins and Alex McKenna, in which the use of two voices differentiates the dual points of view. The mix of stories and narrators makes this a great choice for thriller fans. K.J.P. © AudioFile 2022, Portland, Maine [Published: JANUARY 2022]
