Narrator Mirron Willis sounds like he's actually preaching in some parts of this audiobook, knowing that its message is needed more today than when it was originally written 20 years ago. When he does merely read, he offers excellent articulation and vocal inflection that maintains a high level of interest in the listener. The wisdom of the author meets the clarity of the narrator, creating a distinct and needed confrontation between the older man and a younger generation of men. Listeners can hear the loving tenderness of a father seeking to engage his sons to avoid the senseless mistakes rooted in recklessness that confound so many.
