Narrator Susan Bennett sets the perfect tone in this emotionally complex novel of tribulation and redemption. This is a Christian romance, so the subject of faith is front and center as Roman and Grace embark on a tumultuous emotional journey. Bennett sets just the right pace. Her characterizations are understated but distinct, and her heartfelt tone keeps this story real as it breathes life into the characters.
