SOMEONE TO WED

The listener is immediately aware of the richness of narrator Rosalyn Landor's voice as she recounts the historical romance between wealthy Wren Heyden and Alexander Westcott, Earl of Riverdale. Wren is a recluse due to a birthmark that takes up most of the side of her face. Alone in the world, she longs for marriage and makes a proposal to her neighbor, Alexander, who is in need of funds to fix his newly inherited estate. Landor has the listener experiencing the pain of Wren's past and her grief over the deaths of her beloved aunt and uncle and, ultimately, the joy she finds with Alexander.
