AFTER NIGHTFALL

This psychological suspense grabs listeners from the beginning and doesn't let go. A celebration takes place as Marissa Patchett and her boyfriend, Nathan, announce their engagement, but the night ends with murder. By the next morning, Marissa's best friend is dead, Nathan's daughter is asking frightening questions, and everyone in Marissa's life is acting suspicious and keeping secrets. Narrator Teri Schnaubelt does an outstanding job of voicing the wide range of memorable characters and setting the tone for the twisted fallout from the murder. In addition, the Pacific Northwest setting becomes an important part of the story. As Marissa digs deeper into what happened that night, she is forced to acknowledge painful truths about her past and about those she loves.
