THE BEST LIES

Nancy Wu's performance of this gripping psychological thriller about a dangerously codependent friendship will have listeners reflecting on their own relationships. Told in circuitous flashbacks, the story features Remy and Elise, who believe they'll be best friends forever. Then, in an unfortunate incident, Elise kills Remy's boyfriend, Jack. In the wake of Jack's death, Remy must uncover a truth that may or may not tear the treasured friendship to shreds. Wu's careful pacing and varied tone build a suspenseful mood that makes the tension between the characters palpable.
