VAULT: WASTED SPACE Volume 1

GraphicAudio's adaptation of this graphic novel from Vault Comics is dubbed "a movie in your mind." It's a profane, irreverent account of a washed-up prophet who is called upon to save the galaxy despite the fact that he no longer gives a hoot about it. The main narrator conveys the story in a casual, sardonic voice that sets the tone for the beaten-down nature of the characters. The full-cast production enhances the cinematic quality of the story tremendously. The dialogue is more animated than that of a typical audiobook, which amps up the passion and excitement. The sound effects are particularly good, especially in the space scenes, as they provide a constant ambient soundscape that enhances listeners' immersion in the story.
