Soft-voiced Danielle Carter's Australian accent enhances this story set in Sidney and Melbourne. Marnie, Tina, and Lee meet at the beginning of their careers as young, ambitious businesswomen. Twenty-five years later, each faces changes in her personal and work lives. Carter's steady narration sets a leisurely pace as she portrays women who make their own success and fulfill their own dreams. Carter's imperceptible shifts in timbre to portray the men Marnie, Tina, and Lee interact with barely distinguish them from the main characters, and she rarely, if ever, audibly differentiates the women from one another.
