Modernization and Brexit have made people so desperate that they are harkening back to pagan rituals including human sacrifice. Morrigan Crow, a disturbing woman who controls everything and everyone, is Waites's most horrifying creation. The conclusion is a battle between good and evil fought by Killgannon and Crow. S.G.B.
