STRONG AS STEEL Caitlin Strong 10

Narrator Colleen Delany leads an ensemble cast in the tenth installment of the Texas Ranger Caitlin Strong series, which digs into a 1994 cold case of mass murder. Karen Novack's distinctive Texan twang reliably represents the steely nerved Strong. Together with her outlaw lover, Cort Wesley Masters, portrayed by gravelly voiced Robbie Gay, she kicks butt and investigates clues in dusty Texas and northern Mexico. Delany handles the storyline, and the rest of the talented GraphicAudio cast and crew enliven this Western with believable Mexican accents and the sounds of gunfire, the desert, and pickup trucks. Novak's performance captures Strong's frustrations as she untangles the labyrinthine trail of deaths involving a faceless man, a crime that has its beginnings in 1954, and bloody revenge.
