This audiobook is a fun adventure, as well as an educational introduction to space exploration. Bouncy music and "spacey" sound effects create the atmosphere, and a full cast delivers the lively narrative and the character voices of the planets in our solar system. Young listeners meet Mars, who is lonely and bored. In a delightfully engaging voice, he asks his father, the Sun, for a pet and hopes his sibling planets will play games with him, but to no avail. Then his sister, Earth, surprises him with two "pets"--the space rovers Spirit and Opportunity. This is a wonderfully creative way to encourage children's interest in our solar system.
