OOPS! Helping Children Learn Accidentally

British educator Hywel Roberts has written a compelling and accessible guide to schooling as a creative and intuitive endeavor--rather than one that is goal oriented and focused on the teacher as the provider of knowledge. It is regrettable that Roberts narrates this audiobook himself as his intonation is invariant, although his pacing nicely conveys the text's many lists. Hearing his wit in his Northern English accent certainly offers a change from the received pronunciation of most English voice acting. The fact that his educational theories are informed by real students, as well as the academic work of drama educator Dorothy Heathcote, with whom he studied, increases the content's value.
