New York sportswriter Harvey Araton has written what amounts to a dual memoir, one that parallels his own life and career with the life of longtime Knicks fan Michelle Musler, who became his friend. Frank Berman's respectful narration captures Araton's attitude toward the woman who was his friend, confidante, muse, and even source at times. Berman guides the stories with the right intonations, always keenly interested. Musler is a dignified fan, a rarity in the sports world these days. Those who follow the NBA will love this audiobook; memoir aficionados will get twice as much as they bargained for. Araton and Berman give Musler a deserving remembrance.
