This audiobook is a collection of speeches, letters, and quotations by the world-renowned spiritual leader the Dalai Lama on the crisis of climate change. Some of the audiobook features interviews between the two authors as they discuss environmental activism and climate justice from a Buddhist perspective. It's impossible for any narrator to embody the Dalai Lama's ineffable energy, humor, and calmness of mind; however, Brian Nishii does an admirable job. Angelo Di Loreto's deep and commanding portrayal of Franz Alt brings the gravity and dangers of climate change to the forefront of every conversation. When chapters begin with lengthy quotations from various climate figures like Greta Thunberg, it isn't always clear to listeners who is speaking. Overall, this is an inspiring, yet at times confusing, listening experience. J.T. © AudioFile 2021, Portland, Maine [Published: MAY 2021]
