DRIFT Rachel Hatch, Book 1

Two accomplished crime novel authors and one talented narrator collaborate to produce an arresting listening experience introducing ex-Army criminal investigator Rachel Hatch. Rachel returns to her Colorado hometown to look into the bizarre circumstances of her sister's death. Rachel is one tough heroine, and narrator Marnye Young gives her a resolute voice that is, at the same time, undeniably feminine. The voices of the other female characters are also well executed, especially the gentle tones of Rachel's mother and the plucky voice of the sheriff's office manager. Male characters are clearly differentiated and capably portrayed. This mystery moves quickly and leaves listeners eager to hear Rachel's next adventure.
