THE ONE GREAT GNOME

Narrator Elyse Simone Stevens creates a youthful voice for Sarah, who has recently moved from the big city to the countryside with her family so her mother can pursue a new job opportunity. When Sarah finds a gnome in the potting shed at her new home, she is surprised to learn that he is real. She discovers that gnomes are being captured by trolls and lends her help to her newfound friend. Stevens develops unique voices for each of the characters, including a croaky timbre for the gnome, Vesper, which contrasts with the high-pitched nasally voice of the elf, Krickshap.
