Outlander fans will rejoice at the return of Claire and Jamie--especially as portrayed by Davina Porter, narrator extraordinaire. In their remote settlement in North Carolina in 1779, the Frasers are reunited with their daughter, Brianna, and her husband and children, who have traveled back in time from the 1980s to escape a new menace. The Frasers are reluctantly drawn into the Revolutionary War, which pits Jamie against Lord John Grey and his family, including Jamie's illegitimate son, who was raised by Grey. Porter voices the Scots and British characters expertly, and her impeccable narration adds vitality, which is especially welcome because of the series' extensive detail on life in the eighteenth century.
