FOX & I An Uncommon Friendship

This unconventional memoir is a meditation on solitude, nature, and wildness. As performed by narrator Stacey Glemboski, author Catherine Raven sounds perplexed by human interactions and entranced by the natural world around her remote Montana cottage--and especially by the fox who visits her there. Listeners are immersed in this world, experiencing, as Raven does, weather and wildfire, encountering magpies and voles, and, of course, getting to know the fox. Raven strikes up a friendship with Fox, reading THE LITTLE PRINCE to him, watching him hunt, and meeting his kits. Glemboski is called upon to read chapters written from Fox's perspective and to perform Fox's only vocalization, a croaky "qwah." Raven's memoir captures the feeling of loving a wild creature.
