THE OTHER SIDE OF LUCK

A princess and a pauper cross paths and work together in this middle-grade fantasy novel, narrated by Eddie Lopez and Soneela Nankani. Since her mother's death, Princess Una has been virtually ignored by her father, the king. His contest to find a rare bloom has Una herself searching for the flower to win his attention. When pauper Julian's father is taken away for being a debtor, Julien is determined to find the elusive flower to win the reward and save his father. Together, the tweens work toward their common goal. Nankani's and Lopez's performances give the tale a sense of urgency. The duo capture the myriad characters' personalities, even sounding similar for the more distinct voices, and provide an overall enjoyable production.
