A CERTAIN APPEAL

With quirky characters, fast-paced dialogue, and a unique setting, this contemporary take on PRIDE AND PREJUDICE is enhanced by narrator Julia Whelan. Starting fresh in New York City, Liz Bennet works as an assistant by day; at night she takes the stage at Manhattan's top burlesque venue. Whelan captures Liz's initial attraction to patron Will Darcy--and projects her dismay when she soon discovers that he's rude and that his wealth management job may directly impact her beloved club. But when the two are repeatedly thrown together, their relationship sizzles. Whelan perfectly transitions between the diverse characters as she depicts Liz and Darcy's chemistry.
