Narrator Xe Sands has a wonderful voice to listen to--it is deep, sexy, and conveys emotion. However, it is a mismatch for the content of this well-researched nonfiction audiobook on how to improve your attention. The cadence, tone, and pace of Sands's delivery make it challenging for the listener to concentrate on the content, an ironic development in light of the author's intent. Jha, a neuroscientist, explains that the average person misses out on 50% of their lives by not paying attention. The audiobook offers the science behind a method to improve your ability to focus and then gives specific, easy exercises to build your attention muscles. This is an audiobook that might be more useful in print. E.Q. © AudioFile 2021, Portland, Maine [Published: NOVEMBER 2021]
