Narrator Neil Hellegers expertly guides listeners through this role-playing adventure set both in the real world, where the human characters play a role-playing game, and in a fictional world, where the characters are still self-aware and have agency. While Hellegers deftly creates specific speech patterns and accents for the "real" characters, it is when he tackles the "fictional" characters that his best narration takes place. Some of the characters are not even human; thus, they have unique speaking patterns. Because Hellegers conveys the size, shape, and power of each character with tonal shifts, he manages to immerse listeners in the action, encouraging them to keep listening for "just one more chapter" time and time again.
