With its full-cast performance, this enjoyable audiobook brings to life the challenges nonconforming teenagers face when they espouse unpopular views. The novella focuses on reporter Arnold Rednapp, whose editor assigns him to investigate the supposed suicide of a young man whose atheistic beliefs have caused unease among the residents of his small town. Rednapp's questions reveal far more. Narrator John Chancer's excellent performance captures Rednapp's inquisitiveness and the easygoing style he uses to obtain answers to questions about the circumstances behind the teen's death. In addition, the full cast provides an excellent complement to Chancer's performance, creating a memorable group of townsfolk whose emotions and realities lead to the discovery of the truth behind young Leo's demise.
