Lisa Flanagan narrates this intriguing spy story with ease as the plot weaves between the height of the Cold War in the 1970s and the present day amid scenes of Russia, Paris, Croatia, and Washington. Voicing multiple points of view, Flanagan uses authentic-sounding accents to help listeners identify characters. In addition, a subtle inflection in her tone reflects the initial naïveté of the young Lara compared to the harder and colder character she grows into.
