WHEN YOU ARE MINE

Katy Sobey narrates a psychological suspense about a police officer who befriends a crime victim and becomes caught up in a fatal relationship. Philomena "Phil" McCarthy is an ambitious Metropolitan Police officer. While pursuing a case involving domestic abuse, she ignores the advice of fellow officers and becomes emotionally entangled with the victim. Further complicating matters, her father, a gangster, becomes involved as Phil's investigation impacts his criminal dealings. Sobey portrays Phil with equal parts pathos and ambition. She varies accents, which makes the secondary characters sound distinct and compelling. Humorous moments crackle with life, while violent confrontations simmer with tension.
