After she washes up on his island, the handsome werebear Magus Berne can't shake the feeling that Verity is in trouble. This, along with an undeniable attraction, ultimately uncovers the truth behind the deaths of Verity's fellow squibs. With her fast-paced narration, Bennett's skills shine as she perfectly captures Verity's high-spirited personality. Though not as strongly performed, other characters are presented with voices befitting their individuality.
