Enjoy this warm performance by Matthew Bridges as Elliott, who is still adjusting to his parents' divorce. Elliott doesn't think his father takes his ADHD or his dream to become a chef seriously. More immediately, he needs to come up with six hundred dollars to replace a window he accidentally broke and to find a partner for a school project after his friends reject him. Bridges gives Elliott a tone of genuineness. He's a stressed-out boy who is learning that everyone else has struggles, too. Supporting characters are portrayed with individual personalities, creating a relatable emotional atmosphere and adding depth to the relationships Elliott explores. Listeners will find Bridges's narration authentic as the story portrays realistic expectations of living with ADHD. G.M.
