The remarkable Anna Fields narrates this Regina Cutter mystery. Fields creates completely individual personalities through her wide range of voices, sounding believably male or female, lowbrow or to the manor born, terrified or cocksure, as the story demands. In NOW YOU SEE HER, Reggie, 40-something, divorced, and a budding “touch psychic,” is asked to assist in a possible house haunting and to investigate a cold case in which the wrong man may have gone to prison. Fields allows Reggie’s uncertainties to show as she uncovers the terrible truths surrounding both mysteries.
