Alex Dwyer has returned to town for a birthday dinner and is surprised with an unwanted gift. Eden's portrayal of Lucy is charming, combining equal parts confidence and awkwardness and instantly rendering her relatable. Similarly, Hite's portrayal of Alex is warm and engaging, making it easy to see why Lucy is enchanted with him. While both narrators occasionally struggle with differentiating secondary characters, overall their performances are solid and enjoyable, and make the town of Freya Grove a welcoming spot to visit.
