Filled with unexpected twists and a cast of well-developed characters, this audiobook is an engaging listen. Twenty years ago, four friends traveling on the Devil's Corridor in southwest England get into a car accident. Three go missing afterward and are never found. The survivor, Olivia, has remained out of the spotlight since then. In the present day, journalist Jenna Halliday arrives to reinvestigate the accident. Joanne Froggatt voices Jenna as determined and compassionate, even when she's faced with threats. Clare Corbett voices Olivia as secretive but ultimately resolute. Their chapters alternate with occasional chapters focused on a group of friends in Thailand. As all the parts of the story come together, the pacing of the narrators perfectly matches the building tension and ultimate reveals.
