Mari Oyaizu Carson enthusiastically brings to life the delightfully eccentric inhabitants of a senior mobile home park. At the outset, Stewart Johnson and his daughter determine that he's a good fit for living there--even though the well-rendered perky saleswoman irritates Stewart. As time passes, nosy neighbors are intrusive, and bigmouth Suzy unhesitatingly shares advice. But when the fussy homeowners association president is murdered, confident Stewart and his neighbors swing into action, infuriating local authorities. Well-presented unguarded comments by the feisty retirees are amusing and moving. Stewart realizes that friends and community, which he's always avoided, are now a welcome part of his life.
