Maggs's intensely acted full-cast audioplay boasts superior multitrack production values with surprising depth and color. The sound designers are given free rein and run with it, making this a real treat for listening on headphones. The acting is appropriately campy and over the top, and features intriguing cameos. All the voices are drenched with color and expression, and the text features some fun self-parody (lots of cape jokes) and subtexts that alternately jab at the dangers of technology overgrowth and suggest the tragedy inherent in being both super and dead, yet still somehow alive.
