Winter Fox creates a supernatural mystery for teens and has great fun portraying the main character, Cormac Boisverde, who has returned from the dead to settle unfinished business. At the same time, he helps Grace and her mom solve their problems. Fox gives listeners gruesome details about how Cormac came to be and adds a hungry vampire. Narrator Annie Leonardi captures Grace, an upbeat teen who takes care of her mom and works hard to solve her own issues. The production is well done, and teens who are into this genre will like the humorous story, which also models how to solve real-life issues. This is the first audiobook of a trilogy.
