Shridhar Solanki, Sharmila Devar, and Kemmer Keswani Cope work together to bring to life this well-told family drama. Devar is the voice of the aging matriarch Sultana, who is wasting away from illness. Cope and Solanki dramatize the siblings Imran, Sumaya and Majid, who go in separate directions after their mother's death. Well-versed in South Asian culture, the narrators enrich this listening experience with accurate pronunciations of the Arabic words and names scattered throughout. After their mother's death, in the midst of escalating family crises, the adult siblings are forced to work together. Solanki, Devar, and Keswani, handle the various characters with a deftness that allows listeners to immerse themselves in the family drama without missing a beat.
