Ruth Redman excels at narrating this disturbing mystery about organized crime and cybercrime. Listeners will spend more time with the criminals than with the police. Several men pledge everlasting support to one another should any of them meet with hard times. During one of their orgies, Evie Perry--a high-class escort--suffers severe facial scarring. When she decides to exact revenge on the culprits, she approaches "The Broker," a ruthless shadowy figure who never fails. Redman believably conveys the despicable criminals, as well as the relentless police who are flummoxed by continual investigative roadblocks.
