HIDDEN ROOMS

Narrator Lisa Larsen brings to life a 29-year-old long-distance runner named Riley as she returns to the rural community where she grew up. Once there, she reconnects with her eccentric family as she battles an unknown illness. When her almost-twin, Ethan, is arrested for the murder of his fiancée, Riley sets out to uncover the identity of the real killer. Larsen's strong characterizations of the protagonists create both a likable and believable character in Riley, whose determination is not thwarted by her health issues. Larsen's narration injects just the right amount of petulance and anger into the hotheaded Ethan. Larsen uses spot-on pacing to build the tension as twists and red herrings keep listeners guessing.
