Lee clearly expresses Lin's emotions, which range from disillusionment with his job to alarm at the records errors and utter rage at Lucifer's disregard for patients' lives. Lucifer is truly a frightening character with his unbridled fury at Dr. Lin, which is dramatized through Lee's use of a deep, guttural timbre that is the stuff of childhood nightmares.
