LOVE, GROUCHO

The famed Groucho Marx's daughter Miriam Marx Allen saved virtually every letter her father wrote to her between 1938 and 1967. The letters reveal a caring, level-headed family man constantly worried about money and career. Frank Ferrante as Groucho is outstanding, warm and witty. The problem with this audio presentation lies in the dull parade of uninterest-ing letters and equally dull anecdotes by Miriam Marx Allen. After a while, one truly stops caring about the problems of this father and daughter. This is a shame because boring is something Groucho Marx never ever was.
