NO WAY TO SAY GOODBYE

From an actor with as many credits as Lynda Evans you expect a performance worth listening to. This production doesn't deliver, perhaps because Evans has so little to work with. The entire plot of this formulaic romance becomes obvious in the first ten minutes of listening. Evil but sexy businessman closes company, fires employees and locks lips with one of same, who persuades him to do the right thing by the others before marrying him. Evans's obvious boredom with the material manifests itself in caricatures, rather than characters, and in her flat, monotonal presentation of the narrative.
