Narrator Robert Petkoff carries the listener through what begins as a simple murder mystery but ends up a chilling tale of the supernatural. This is a great audiobook to listen to on a dark country road. Petkoff’s voice expresses a bit of honest disbelief in the beginning and then turns deadly serious as the frightening predictions of a crazy man start coming true. It's rare that an audiobook evokes goose bumps—this one does. Listeners will think they know what's going on but by the end will realize they’ve had no clue about what was really taking place atop a mountain ridge in eastern Kentucky, where a lighthouse illuminates nothing but the surrounding woods.
