NEMESIS OF THE DEAD

When Jack Dawes of the Murder Squad takes his wife, Corrie, on a belated honeymoon to the tiny Greek island of Katastrophos, he has no qualms—despite the island's name. Narrator Gordon Griffin is sheer perfection as he portrays the English holidaymakers and island residents who are steeped in myth and superstition. Every character is made special—with London plumber and soccer fan Sydney being the best as he dons Speedos and a sombrero with a Union Jack. With a mounting body count and a crazy professor who believes plants are superior to all else on earth, the rest of the group to bands together.
