A serial killer who is released from prison comes back to stalk a woman he abducted and assaulted when she was a child. This should make for a tense drama, but both story and narrator disappoint. Elizabeth Wiley delivers the narrative well. However, her character voices often are not credible, though autistic Franny and his mom come through vividly. Wiley uses different voices to distinguish between the child and adult versions of the two main characters; this only serves to confuse. Pacing is acceptable, but sufficient tension is not present.
